Records outlive the people who made them. Most systems are not built for that.

TRYGG HEALTH LTD is a software development and consultancy company. The work is narrow: record-keeping systems judged by whether someone can reconstruct what happened years later, without the person who was there.

How we work The practice

Not connected with Trygg.Health. There is a separate and unrelated UK company of a similar name working on clinical safety standards for health software. We have no relationship with it, no shared ownership and no shared personnel, and we do not work on clinical safety. If you were looking for them, you are on the wrong site.

Working rules

Five positions, each of which costs us something.

A principle with no cost attached is decoration. These are the five we apply, and each one has made a piece of work slower or smaller than a client first wanted.

A record is worth what it is worth in five years

Almost every record system is designed for the moment of entry and not for the moment of retrieval. It is fast to fill in, and unreadable to the person who inherits it. We design from the retrieval end: what will someone need to reconstruct, who will they be, and what will they no longer have access to.

Retention is a decision, not a default

Most systems keep everything because deleting is harder than not deleting. That is a liability dressed as prudence. Every category of record gets a period, a reason for that period, and a deletion that actually runs, and the reason is written down where the next person will find it.

Export is a feature you test, not a promise you make

An export path nobody has restored is a claim, not a capability. Where we build one, a restore runs on the same schedule as the backup and the result is visible to the client. This is the single most common gap we find, and it is always found at the worst moment.

The audit trail records who and when, not just what

A change log without an actor and a timestamp answers the easy question and not the one that gets asked. Where a record can be amended, the amendment is a new entry rather than an overwrite, and the previous state stays readable.

We write the handover before we write the code

If the operating documentation cannot be drafted from the design, the design is not finished. This is unpopular and it is the reason a piece of work still functions after the person who built it has moved on.

A two-person practice that says yes to everything is a two-person practice that does everything badly.

We take

Designing a record schema and its retention rules, including the part where old records are actually removed.
Building or repairing an export and restore path, and proving it restores.
Reviewing an existing system against the five rules above, and writing what we found in language the client can act on.
Writing the operating documentation for a system somebody else built and left.

We decline

Clinical safety work. DCB0129, DCB0160 and clinical risk management are specialist regulated activities. We are not qualified and we do not take them, whatever the company name suggests.
Anything requiring a regulated professional opinion: legal, medical, actuarial or accounting.
Work where the conclusion is specified in advance. A review that exists to endorse a decision already made is not a review.
Systems whose purpose is to make a record harder to retrieve later.

What we do not have.

The company was registered in 2026. There is no track record to point at, and filling the gap with stock phrases would be the easiest lie on this page.

Published clients: None. No case studies, no testimonials, no logos.
Certifications: No ISO/IEC 27001, no SOC 2 report, no Cyber Essentials. We will not represent otherwise until one is genuinely held.
Professional indemnity insurance: Not currently held. A client requiring cover should raise it before signing, because arranging it would be a precondition rather than a surprise.
